This error can occur because of the following reasons:

1) Previous installation of script in the root folder (main domain or any addon domain) was removed manually.
2) Fantastico itself hasn’t removed the previous installation properly.

Solution :

1) Login into your cPanel
2) Go to Filemanager.

3) Now go to .fantasticodata then select the file name installed_in_root.php and remove the following code.

$installed_in_root[“”] = 1;

Removing this code fixed the issue and he was then able to install script to the root directory.

Unable to download database backup from cpanel

If you face  issue in download database backup from cpanel with cpanel user password.

reason : The user had changed their main account password, however, the .my.cnf file located within the users directory, had not updated the password. To correct the issue, move the existing .my.cnf file, to .my.cnf.backup, and login to cpanel again with users password  thus forcing cPanel to recreated this file with the correct password.

mv /home/user/.my.cnf /home/user/my.cnf.backup

Then login to the cpanel again with user password and you will be able to download backup
